“Courage! I have shown it for years; think you I shall lose it at the moment when my sufferings are to end?”
– Marie Antoinette
When have you had to show courage?
I have had to show it quite a few times through out my life and in recent years. I demonstrated it last week when I was giving a presentation to a panel of harsh investors/mentors. I also gathered it together when I had to negotiate and represent to a potential employer my perceived value to get an offer that felt right to me. But I have had to have it from an early time when I first started becoming independent and navigating the NYC subways on my own (I had to get to school somehow!)
Courage is definitely a quality I have had to call upon from my youth and still need to demonstrate in various situations. So I love the quote above by Marie Antoinette and reminder that I should always remember to possess courage in every situation, large and small!
Maintain your courage friends!
Have a lovely week!
I think courage is one of those things that everyone has to find at some point in their lives again and again. I think it’s what gets us through life at times really, otherwise we’d never do anything because some things we must do can be a bit scary. But, it is definitely something we should grab hold of and use every day in our lives, because that’s when we see just how far we can go and what we’re made of. Love these pictures, so stunning. Happy Monday doll xx
Kizzy, you are so right. We have to continually find courage throughout our lives and hold onto it every day. When we test our courage, we also test ourselves as well! Have a lovely week dear!
I think I am more cowardly than courageous. But I’m trying harder to put myself in situations that are uncomfortable to navigate and finding my way through them. Little by little.
Courage is so much a part of my lifestyle. I love the quote and that fashion feature is so whimsical!!
having courage helps us face our fears, which in turn helps us to GROW! once you stop growing, you stop living. things become stagnant. good for you in standing up for what you deserve. i do the same thing. i started doing that years ago and haven’t stopped. if you don’t, people will throw anything your way.

I love that quote! I struggle to be courageous at times, but have also demonstrated it throughout my life, including when I made the decision to leave home after 21 years and move across the country by myself.
Good for you Heather! It always takes a lot of courage to leave home, but it is great to build our new lives as well!
Oh, I hate giving presentations or running meetings. Those are definitely times when courage is most needed. Kudos to you for showing your courage when it mattered most. Beautiful images here.
Sooooo pretty!
That editorial of Lindsey Wixson is stunning! And I love the message you’ve attached to it — it’s takes so much to gather your courage and so little to let it all go…

I think we all have moments that we have to summon our courage to get through and we usually come out stronger because of it. I’ve been working up my courage to walk on my ankle more w/o my brace now that I started PT again.
