For man autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature, it is a time of sowing, of gathering abroad.

I loved the autumnal feel and colors of all of these photos (last one depicts lanterns from the Chinese mid-autumn festival)! All from here
Oh and what fun we had at our gatherings this autumn! From my cousin’s wedding last month to my husband’s cousin’s wedding last week, it was a really fun time for family to meet, eat, and of course laugh. We had some great in season apples and pumpkins (err in the form of apple crisp and pie). It definitely put me in the mood to taste fall’s bounty and prepare some recipes which I’ll post soon!
Have you attended any fun gatherings this fall? Did anyone attend a 10.10.10 wedding?
Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends and hope my American friends have Columbus Day off!
Have a lovely week!

Oh yeah that’s so true, I bet there were loads of 10.10.10 weddings! I personally wasn’t invited to any, though. I’d love to see so many pumpkins like in the first pic!

I love these autumn pictures 🙂 The tree is especially beautiful.
I’ve done lots of fun things this fall — went to Oktoberfest (in Eastern Ontario, not Germany!), hiked through Gatineau Park & enjoyed the fall colours, went shopping last Friday in a pretty little town south of Ottawa, and had a yummy & fun Thanksgiving dinner at a friend’s house last night 🙂
Happy T’Giving!!

Oh! It’s Columbus Day, I was wondering why Monday was a holiday in the States! Reading this made me realize that it’s probably the same holiday they’re celebrating here (in Chile) today… and it is! Called “Encuento de dos mundos” aca! It makes me happy to ‘discover’ this 🙂 Love your autumn lanterns!
September and October have been by far the mot hectic months but nothing Fall specifically. Although I did make banana and pumkin bread and that really made the season come alive.
I love these photos! I wish that I lived someplace where the leaves would turn colors like that.
