“I was always an unusual girl.
My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean.â€
― Lana Del Rey
Are you a chameleon or have you remained a consistent version of yourself throughout the years?
I saw Jennifer Lawrence’s feature in Vogue and while the writer deems chameleon an inadequate adjective for Jennifer Lawrence, I still admire Jennifer Lawrence’s versatility and ease of slipping into such varied roles. Who can slip into blue paint for an action-packed X-Men role, and then portray a dark, vulnerable girl next door in “Silver Linings Playbook” so faithfully as well? It’s yet another reason why I love Jennifer Lawrence.
It made me think about me and the different roles I have played in the last few years. I think I am still the same person – inquisitive, patient, sometimes fiery – but have tried to work on other aspects of myself. I’m trying to be more proactive in my pursuits and have a deeper appreciation for all the precious things in my life (courtesy of my husband). While I have played a wife, I hope to play a mother. While I may have focused my profession in one segment, I am also exploring another one now. I suppose I have changed a bit more than I thought!
How has your soul been a chameleon soul?
Have a lovely week!
I completely agree with the quote, it’s me. I just go here and there, wherever the wind takes me really. It’s exciting, but can be strange sometimes. Love these photos. So beautiful. Happy Monday doll xx
I love this photoshoot of Jennifer Lawrence. The picture of her surrounded by all of those beautiful flowers is absolutely gorgeous. You have changed 🙂 but change is good a lot of times. You’ve grown! I know I have changed over the years. The way I saw things before is not how I see them now.
I definitely do not regard myself as a chameleon but Jennifer seems to be one in this photo shoot, from innocent and charming to sultry and sexy to powerful and commanding.
Of course I like the images with the puppies best 😉
This editorial is very charming. I don’t think I’m a chameleon, I have changed over the years, I have grown-up, but deep inside I’m always the same 🙂

Lovely thoughtful post and such gorgeous images, love these. Yup have to agree, I’ve been a chameleon over the years, especially the last few. That’s all good though I think no? We change and grow into ourselves, so as long as you’re evolving in a good direction I say go with it. Hope your week’s going great!
nice photos!
