Can being goal oriented be a bad thing? Of course it is a great thing to work towards a goal and be focused on accomplishing that goal. But, there is also a risk that one may forget or ignore other aspects of her life in only keeping her eyes on the prize. For instance, if you are working towards a great promotion, it is natural that you may put in longer hours at work and have less time for family and friends. Obtaining that promotion or goal is a wonderful thing. Just don’t forget that there are many lovely things that you may already have without reaching that goal. There are basic things that are already beautiful and significant to each one of us – a favorite book, a piece of clothing in a favorite shade, or a recipe from a great friend. When I saw this editorial about primary colors, I was reminded of the fact that the most essential colors are beautiful too.
Remember to appreciate the simple and beautiful things in your life!
Have a lovely week!
It’s easy to forget the basics sometimes – with clothes and in life. Great reminder not to let those things slip by!
That is wonderful…love the colours and you’re right, we can strive to get to our goal, but we have to cherish the things along the way that got us to the goal or sometimes when we reach the goal, we find it not to be so great afterall. Have a wonderful week doll xx
oh i love this collage of pictures and colours – and thank you for that inspirational saying. learning to slow down and appreciate what you already have is a something we should always remember! xox P

I am in love with all of these colors! The brightness is super fun. I like the idea of dressing in bright colors during the winter season.

It is far too easy to ignore the wonderful things we already have in the pursuit of reaching the next big milestone. Great post! Love the colors in this editorial 🙂
I think I could use a few more goals in my life, even if it means putting other things on the backburner, at least you will have achieved something great.
Loving that this fall will be filled with bold colors!

You are very right. The essential colors are beautiful too. I think it’s great to be goal oriented as well, just as long as you don’t lose sight of the other important things in life.

I definitely know the feeling! my goal right now is to find a new job, and it feels like sometimes other things in my life is taking less priority. I love this editorial, my Mom recently picked me up an issue of Classy and Can Cam magazine from a japanese book store.
