A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles.

I think you already know that I love traveling. I don’t stress out as much as I should about flying 10,000 miles for two days or flying to another country to meet a few good friends (like we did when we went to Bangkok – that was an awesome trip!) We are in California for a long weekend though we will have racked up 30+ hours in roundtrip travel (ouch).
While I love to travel to explore different cultures and eat tasty local bites, I really love to travel when I can meet loved ones on the other side. I’ll be seeing family of course for this small, family wedding. But I will also be meeting one of my dearest friends in the world and seeing fabulous friends from San Francisco. We all live in such far flung places that it can be hard to meet. I am fortunate to get the chance to catch up with them and eat authentic fish tacos as well. Could it get any better?
I know that some people are uncomfortable with traveling. But f you want to travel and have the opportunity to see loved ones on the other side, don’t let distance deter you. When I have a little family, I’ll definitely be dragging their little bootys around the world. After all, a journey should be measured in love (and fabulous food/scenery), not miles.
Have a lovely week!
Beautiful pictures. I’d really like to travel more, will need to do that really. There are far too many places I need to see yet 🙂 I hope you have a super week doll xx
Have a great time in California! I don’t mind traveling but like to take longer trips, when possible, which is almost never 🙂
what chic travelers! (would love some vintage inspired luggage)
I’m glad you don’t stress about traveling – I do – and it is no way to live. Have a safe flight and enjoy being with your family and friends!
Thanks for the well wishes dear. I also finally got a tripod so that should was a nice benefit of going to San Diego too. The process of traveling can be a little frustrating, but the destination is usually worth it!
Hi darling, I agree with your thoughts on traveling, but don’t know if I could pull through 30 hours in one long weekend, wow! How do you do it! Hope you’re having the most memorable and wonderful time!
Beautiful styling! Love the wedges in the last pic
I love traveling, it’s so interesting to see the rest of the world and how they live!
