“A great marriage is not when the ‘perfect couple’ comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.â€

Chanel Joaillerie Spring Summer 2013
I’m in France to attend a wedding today. This is at least the 20th wedding I’ve attended. But I know it will be special in its own way (besides being the first wedding I’ve gone to in France). I’ve been to a wide array of weddings from the destination beach wedding to the large banquet hall wedding to this chateau wedding. While each wedding is different, I hope that each couple concentrates not on the wedding, but on the marriage itself.
We know many different married couples. Some couples have a large age difference or may come from different cultures. Others share very similar backgrounds. But each successful couple doesn’t focus on their differences and disagreements. They appreciate what makes their partner unique and work through those quirks. A wedding may be a grand event, but a marriage is a journey that you embark on every day.
Best of luck to my friends on their new journey together!
Have a lovely week!

That quote is too true. I hope you had a great time at the wedding!
