I think I started to shop there late in high school or in college (it was the natural graduation point from Gap right?)  The easy staple items and affordable prices at the store also meant that it continued to dominate my closet for the first few years in the professional world.  But my love for the brand fizzled as I started to like brighter colors and different fabrics (the sizing or fabrics also seemed to become strange).

But I’m definitely intrigued now that Milly has created a 60 piece Luxing it on the Cheap (LOTC) collection for Banana Republic.  Milly’s contemporary styles infuse American sportswear with Paris Atelier techniques – think fabulous prints, delightful details, and remarkable silhouettes. One of my FAVORITE dresses is a simple little white sheath dress from Milly with a rocking gold belt – a little Sharon Stone-esque, but in a longer length and with hardware!

I definitely became more interested in the collaboration when I saw style stars Olivia Palermo rocking the elephant print shorts and Zoe Saldana styling in the striped fit and flare dress.

The collection is full of bright, printed pieces.  Some (like that elephant print!) work a bit more than others, but these are definitely perfect for the warmer days ahead.
