Let’s face it: we can’t all have our money right where we like it, hanging in our closet (though I’d love Ms. Bradshaw’s closet any day!)
New York Fashion Week Fall 2013 provided us with style inspiration for the the months ahead from brightly printed frocks at Diane Von Furstenberg to jewel tone and metallic looks at Monique Lhuiller. While we may not all be able to wear these looks soon, there are luckily LOTC (Luxing it on the Cheap) looks we can wear right now!
Billowy blouses
Romantic, billowy blouses with generous sleeves sauntered down the runway at Monique Lhuiller (love the gathered neckline), but is also available now in a slightly simpler cut from BCBG Max Azria.
Monique Lhuillier Fall 2013 RTW
BCBG Max Azria Shina sheer puff sleeve blouse, Neiman Marcus, $88
Midi skirts
Victoria Beckham said that she designed her collection by thinking about the opposite of what she would wear (no minis were seen there!) and the longer length tulip skirt can also be seen at Kensie.
Victoria Beckham Fall 2013 RTW
Kensie Tulip skirt – black, Zappo’s, $39
Printed dresses
An easy look for less is Prabal Gurung’s printed dresses since he happens to have a capsule collection out for Target now. His look there is a little simpler, but still fun and floral.
Prabal Gurung Fall 2013
Prabal Gurung For Target® Dress in Meet the Parents Print, Target, $44.99
love the tops – i can’t wear those skirts b/c i’m too short :o(
Great roundup! I really love the Prabal Garung/Target collab. I’m definitely hoping to score a few pieces from it 🙂
These are all great trends! I love printed dresses!
That tulip midi skirt is so cute and I love that it’s under $40!

Thanks for sharing! I will get a head start thrifting similar looks. I especially would like to try reworking a long skirt into a midi mullet skirt. Debbie @ ilovemylemonadelife.com
Debbie, you are welcome and thanks for coming by the website! A maxi or midi skirt would definitely be perfect and could be converted into a midi mullet skirt straight from the runways!
