“A city is not gauged by its length and width, but by the broadness of its vision and the height of its dreams.”
Herb Caen

What is your favorite city? I saw this editorial ofĀ Liu Wen for Harper’s Bazaar China August 2018 and thought about rooftops in the summer in Manhattan. Ā I’ve always been a city girl who is used to and more comfortable with the ambient noise, intangible energy, and boisterous crowds associated with big cities. Ā One of the things I like about living in a city is the fact that it’s simply a larger place with more people (crowded into smaller places unfortunately!) and more to do. People move to cities for more opportunities. Ā You can hopefully find a new career or start a new company of your own. Ā Perhaps you will meet another resident with similar values and goals. Ā As a result, it seems like there are so many possibilities available in big cities.
I feel like I’m finally taking advantage of being a city resident again. Ā We are trying out new places and seeing more cultural sites around the city. Ā I’m also meeting more people and exploring the opportunities around me. I’m excited to see what happens next. Remember to make the most of where you live!
Have a lovely week!

I love this editorial. When I think of Paris I think of more minimalism and simple. But this styling is just perfection and the glam factor oh so fitting for Paris.

I never look this good when I take rooftop photos, lol. Nice that you’re enjoying living in a big city — definitely lots to see and do.
