We strolled through the streets of Zurich and along the river enjoying the twinkling lights and tastefully Swiss holiday decorations. Then we saw this series of words being scrolled on a building).
“A single event can have infinitely many interpretations”
Yes this is a pretty general saying and itself is open to interpretation and selective application (e.g.a wedding is just a wedding!) I had to take a picture of this because I found it to be heartening. I had just had a job offer rescinded the day before and was pretty depressed. It’s worse than not having had the offer in the first place and came just a day after my birthday. Although the experience and of course pay would have been useful, I have to accept what happened and hope that something better will come out of it.
So it may have been bad at first but perhaps one closed door leads to another open one? Let’s hope so. Perhaps life is telling me to focus on our Asia trip and our families. Or just the simplicity of enjoying what is around me.

I’m sorry about the job. =(
Maybe this means you’ll win the lottery. =D
What a gorgeous glittery scene! Oh my.
I like the photograph and the saying regardless of how general it is, it’s still a statement and I like that it’s so ambiguous and could be interpreted in many different ways.
My blogroll has been playing up – sorry I haven’t been by for a few days. I thought you weren’t updating – but you totally were!
So sorry about the job. And hope you had a Happy Birthday.
