So remember I told you I was a little domestic goddess wannabe and made cookies for our NYC wedding? Well I’m thinking about what favors to give at the Taiwanese wedding and the same cookie theme sounds appropriate. Although this time I’m going store bought because I don’t have time to actually make cookies when I’m in Taiwan. They are going to be chocolate cookies though so I can represent America’s favorite cookie (oatmeal raisin would be awesome too but I can’t find them here!).
Now I just have to worry about how to package up those suckers. I saw this tutorial on how to make your own boxes and was totally inspired. I mean, this is pretty adorable.
I hope the fam still likes it!
Hi, Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I love comments!
Those cookie favors are super cute. You get to do two weddings – you lucky thing! Or is it twice as much stress?
Can’t wait to see all the other little details.
Oh no – this is too much stress about chocolate! For realz, though, if you buy them in London, transport them in the original box (to keep them from crumbling or getting stale en route) and keep it as simple as possible when you’re there. I’m thinking a bag with a pretty ribbon. If you want more, add your stamp to a hanging paper thing on the ribbon. I’m thinking clear cellophane bags like this: http://www.clearcellobags.com/index.html
You’ll have enough stress with a destination wedding(ish) without worrying about cookies. They are yummy, you’ll wrap them in ribbon, and people will like them.
You know who would have an answer for this probably…Martha Stewart!
Seriously she knows everything, but I do remember seeing somewhere, a mom packed cookies for her son (who is serving overseas) in a hat box and cushioned the cookies with plain popped popcorn..not a bad idea right?
XOXO
Amy
I personally like the look of wax paper baggies and they’d be really sweet tied w/ a little bow and tag… good luck! I couldn’t even be bothered to take favors from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, so we made a donation to American Forests in the name of our wedding guests (planted 60 trees for our 60 guests) and I just had a framed sign at the guest book table explaining it.
I love the cookie theme b/c who doesn’t love cookies?!
P.S Love your wishlist item! I am totally sure you will have a great time. 😀
You are SO freaking cute! i have no idea how I’d do that though…You are the sweetest. And yum cookies lol

How about little doilies and then ribbons?
I’ll take one! LOL. Thanks for stopping by. I am now a new follower of yours. Please do this. I think the cookies and the boxes are perfect. Simple but elegant.
oh, all this stuff is so tricky! but everybody loves cookies!!!
not to confuse you, but there are cute chocolatiers that box up little party favor chocolates and ship all over the planet. maybe this would be easier? maybe not! i had to throw a baby shower for my sister and the tiny chocolate party favors were a big hit and prepackaged adorably. 🙂

simple is always good, especially when it’s executed well. your stamp would be great on it 🙂
hey thx for your comments! i love that you’re making your own favors – i hope you can find the right boxes for them. your vintage urban wedding sounds amazing. can’t wait to see more about that.
