“Elegance is all in the mind of the wearer.”
Philip Treacy
Do you like black tie affairs? I saw this editorial of Hedvig Palm in Harper’s Bazaar UK December 2017 and thought of glittering balls and elegant parties. While I’m not running around in athleisure (though there are some great options these days), I’m comfortable rocking anything from my usual shift dresses to easy draped tops and leggings. I do like the occasional black tie event though. There is undoubtedly a link between looking fabulous and feeling great too.
So I face a mild dilemma. I turned down a pricey party in a chateau in a few weeks. I’m honestly too tired to party, but will know quite a few people there since it is for our school reunion. Initially, I declined to get a party ticket, but am now thinking about it again. So do I drop the money, get dressed to impress and go for a few hours? Or do I stick to my guns and face the reality that I am just too tired and my kids will get up at 6 am anyway? Well, regardless, it is nice to see these ridiculously beautiful gowns and dream a little.
Have a lovely week!
My favorite dress is the one that she’s wearing by the fountain. It is a stunner.
Always go with your first mind & decision. I find if you go back & forth (backtrack), then it’s not good. A guy told me once, make a decision and stick with it. It’s best for you.

Wow, all of these are stunning. I love the place too :)) amazing!! xx
I think it’ll be nice to have an adult moment and attend a party byt you probably pay for it the next morning when you are exhausted and your kids demands full attention. I would probably stick to my gun and be sensible and turn it down but that’s because I rather choose sleep and rest. LOL!
