“What’s so lovely about Wonder Woman is yes, she has the strength and power of a goddess, but she has the heart and mind of a human.”
– Gal Gadot
Who were your childhood heroes? Wonder Women was certainly one of my heroes. She was one of the few female superheroes in a sea of spandex wearing guys. I remember marveling at her super strength, confidence, and poise. Gal Gadot by Craig McDean for W Magazine May 2017 perfectly exemplifies these qualities in this beautiful editorial. While Wonder Women came from noble Amazonian roots, she could still blend in as Diana Prince among mere mortals. She is a reminder that we can all be Wonder Women.
Recently, my husband was commenting about my own role as Wonder Women. I’ve taken on a lot with moving, home renovations, and house management. I never said much to him, but basically took over everything house related (for both places!) in the last few weeks. I probably exerted myself more than I should as a pregnant lady. As a result, I’ve been exhausted and the work continues! Finally, I become upset with him when I felt that he wasn’t appreciating my efforts. We both realized that we needed to communicate more openly and support each other more. Sometimes, we try to juggle everything and be super women. It can be difficult though to maintain. We can be strong, but share that we’re vulnerable too. Even Wonder Women work better in teams too.
Have a lovely week!
These are fantastic pictures, have a wonderful week x
Wonder Woman was definitely a hero of mine. Linda Carter was so beautiful. This girl is stunning! Love these pics of her. You are a wonder Woman. You do a lot! Your husband appreciates you, but sometimes men don’t say enough.

I loved Linda Carter too! Thank you for the kind words. It’s been better since we’ve been communicating a lot more now.
I don’t think it’s that your husband doesn’t appreciate your efforts. he’s just probably concerned about your well being and that you’ve taken on too much. Moving can be so much work.
It might be a mix of both. I wasn’t communicating how much I was doing and he was concerned I was doing too much. Closing off our old place and getting our new place have been exhausting! Home ownership is no joke!
I adore Gal Gadot and thinks she’s beautiful and very classy. And I think we women in general are Wonder Woman in our own ways. And that happens to my husband and I too, sometimes we don’t communicate enough and somehow thought the other could read our thoughts and things will get heated for a bit. It doesn’t happen as much anymore because we promised ourselves that we must always voice things out instead of keeping it inside.
Such a great reminder that being Wonder Woman doesn’t mean doing it all by yourself 🙂
