Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Art Highlight
I started off the week with Tim Walker’s editorial “In the Land of Nod” and was captivated once again at the end of the week by Leslie Ann O’Dell’s photography which has been referred to as “Oneiric” (referring to dreams). The two sets of pictures are similar in that they refer to the fantastical and otherworldly elements. There is strong imagery but Leslie Ann manipulates her photographs a bit more to combine different aspects and draw contrasts between the elements in the picture. Her photography also has a wistful and haunting vibe thus making it beautiful in a very different sense from Tim Walker’s pictures. Here are a few favorites:
Otherwise this weekend I am…
…heading to a deep sea exhibit with the family. This exhibit will show over 40 different deep sea creatures (maintained in a formaldehyde type solution since they can’t survive in the water closer to the surface). My husband is super excited about attending this and seeing the alien like sea animals. I’m willing to go along and do something a little different. We are also going to try to visit a famous food stall for oyster omelettes (the husband is very excited about this one). It should be fun!
What are you doing this weekend?
Have a fabulous weekend!

I’d love to take you to eat Asian style Oyster omelettes! I can say the place we went to was pretty awesome; the omelette was really crunchy and well seasoned and I’d recommend it to any visitors or locals!
