FFF/Art Highlight – Central Park in Black and White and celebrations

February 6, 2015

Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!

Art Highlight

Central Park is undoubtedly one of New York’s great sites.

I was instantly smitten with these black and white photographs Mark Massaia took of Central Park.  They are moody, surreal, and place the park in an entirely different light.  I love the almost ominous and untouchable serenity here.  It is a far cry from Central Park in reality.

Otherwise this weekend I am…

…attending my first toddler birthday party!  I’ve been to a few birthday parties for little ones, but our friend’s little guy is turning 1!  I guess we really have turned a corner in our social lives when baby birthday parties become part of the mix of activities.  I’m excited for this little milestone for our friend’s almost toddler, but also quite excited for the parent activities that will take place after we all put our babies to bed!

What are you doing this weekend?

Have a fabulous weekend!

These are really beautiful. I remember being in Central Park when I was a teenager, NY itself was this amazing amusement park compared to the very small town I was from in Michigan. Such a beautiful place, hope to see it again one day!! Have a great time at the party, sounds super cute :)) xx

Oh yes, isn’t it the strangest feeling adding children’s parties to your social calendar. I went to my first four or five years ago now! Man time flies. I love these photos, makes me crave NYC even more!

Sonia, yes it is odd adding children’s parties to my social calendar now. My guess is that it will take up even more of our weekends with each year, but they are fun! I hope you get to NYC soon – the Central Park photos are stunning right?
