Happy Fun, Free Friday!
Art Highlight
Justine Smith made these lovely botanical sculptures from an unusual medium – money. She used different currency as a means of making different types of floral arrangements. It makes one appreciate the beauty and intricacy used in these different types of money – the colors and designs in currency we see every day can be quite extraordinary. Who knew that currency could be used in such beautiful ways!
Otherwise this weekend I am…
…doing the usual activities with our little one – bringing her to her language playgroup and gym class. It’s nice to have a routine with her and take her to different events that she (hopefully) enjoys. While she may not quite sit still and pay attention to a counting song, I know I’ll be both happy and sad when she is talking more, learning more, and well growing up. In the meantime, she basically runs around and wreaks havoc during these play groups. This weekend will also involve some solid Thai food so I’m of course very excited about that! Mmm green curry and solid pad thai for the win!
These are so precious!

So beautiful! I love the butterflies so much.
Oh my gosh I just realized this was money. Amazing!
What a cool use of money! Hope you have a great weekend!
I think her concept was brilliant, especially to include them with cloches. I have a few cloche in our cabinet but have only used them for culinary reasons. Hope you enjoyed your weekend. x
