]Happy Fun, free Friday lovelies!
Zhongshuge mirrored book stores
Do you like mazes? For some reason, I had a college friend’s M.C. Escher prints (actually they may still be at my parent’s place!) and was fascinated by the symmetry and geometry of his art. It’s so interesting to see life imitating art in these Zhongshuge mirrored book stores designed by X+Living. This chain has the most beautifully designed book stores with similar, but slightly different designs from store to store. While mirrored ceilings may not be new, mirrored floors is a bit different. The Yangzhou branches mirrored floors create mirage-like images reminiscent of the city’s meandering networks of canals, rivers, and lakes. I just fear I’d constantly be bumping into the store, lol.
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…surviving. My husband is flying to Japan for business so I’m solo with the kids for a few days before I find some relief. Ugh, I’m dreading it since my ankle is still recovering and my littlest one does not stop moving! You’ll find me an exhausted heap on the sofa at the end of each day.
What are you up to this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend!
What an amazing space! The mirror effects here just reminded me a friend of mine who has an amazing garden (his garden was featured twice in New York Times, I hear) and he said he put mirrors in the garden this year and I can’t wait to visit his garden soon.
Sorry to hear that you’re still recovering and this weekend would be challenging. Hope everything goes smoothly! <3
Oh wow what incredible spaces! So beautifully done! 🙂
Sorry to hear you’re still recovering – it’s hard looking after kids when you aren’t feeling your best! fingers crossed all goes well!
Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend 🙂
