Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Solar System at a glance by Andrew McCarthy
We just visited the Museum of Natural History, which has always been a firm favorite of my husband since his childhood. Unfortunately we didn’t get to visit Hayden Planeterium on the premises. I’m sure when my kids are interested in the solar system more, they will love visiting this site as well. This picture of the solar system at a glance by Andrew McCarthy may indeed spark their enthusiasm for the subject. He used a Sony a7 II camera, Canon 60D, ZWO ASI224MC color astronomy camera, Orion XT10 telescope, Meade 2120 telescope, and Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro equatorial mount to shoot each planet individually. Then he put them together with Photoshop. What a simple and stunning image right?
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…continuing with the cleansing! I’ve been radio silent for a bit because I’ve been at my family’s place helping them (well me) clean out my own belongings as well as some kitchen, attic, and pantry goods. It is am amazing feeling to declutter, but it has been overwhelming because there is SO much stuff. I also have limited time to do it since the little ones are busy wreaking havoc (little guy is now obsessed with potting dirt and watering cans!) But I’m continuing the cleanup digitally and am researching designers/themes for revamping this little space. Please let me know if you recommend any particular designer with an eye for elegance and reasonable prices.
What are you up to this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend!
This looks so interesting!
thank you for sharing

That photo is marvelous! And one really has to appreciate the painstaking way in which the photographer put it together. Decluttering is so cathartic and feels amazing. I’m glad to be at the point where I don’t really have to do it anymore.
Lucky you! I’m trying to make decluttering more of a regular occurrence so it doesn’t have to be a huge event. I’m slowly getting there!
My weekend has been resting because I feel with flu
xx
Wow, his instagram is amazing! I minored in physics and have always been deeply fascinated by science and the solar system, so I love this! Thanks for sharing. Perhaps your little guy will be into gardening. 🙂 After spending way too much on my last design a couple years back, I found some great international designers on Etsy + affordable and independent artists. xo/Madison

That is so cool that you were a physics minor! The kids are young – it would be great if they’re into anything from science to gardening!
I love the Museum of Natural History, I could totally spend an entire day lost in there! I I hope the decluttering is going well, I’ve been meaning to clean out my kitchen/pantry as well since I know I have a ton of things I should probably toss or donate.
