I haven’t seen a promotion for joining one of the flash sales sites in some time, so I wanted to pass on the news that Rue la la is offering $10 if you sign up for the site. Ā It is among my preferred sale sites because of its easy layout and awesome Final Act sales (stuff is seriously discounted and there is usually a great range of designers from DVF to Vince).

…meeting a friend flying in from Taiwan. Ā There is unfortunately a typhoon watch on the island so I hope she is able to get here without any trouble! Ā Her reward will be some great pizza at Mozza pizzeria (yum!) She’s normally a lighter/healthier eater but we can all indulge sometimes right?

I like the cupcake stand too, although I know I would use it for displaying cupcakes (and other desserts) but not ones that I made–just ones that I bought. š

Cheryl, that is too funny! Yes I would be worried that my cupcakes wouldn’t be pretty enough to display! I’ve seen people use cake stands for displaying jewelry or shoes – that could be cool!

I love Rue La La – great products and fabulous customer service. They once dragged in delivery time and sent me the cutest little apology letter and a box of chocolates. I agree with you re: the layout and products – always a good mix.

that cupcake stand is totally something I would buy and then never use. it’s totally cute, but who needs to display one cupcake, ever?
Lydia, I’m with you and am totally smitten with the small cupcake stand! I would never use the small one, except maybe to display jewelry! There are a few sizes though and I like the larger size (I’m thinking it would be great for displaying pies!)
