Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Pechane Sumi-e Paintings
I grew up looking at Sumi-e paintings by traditional Chinese and Japanese artists. My parents have a few examples in their home from screen printed pillows to a modern interpretation. It’s cool to see this traditional form of Asian painting with broader, dynamic strokes reimagined and still being practiced today. Pechane is a French artist painting Sumi-e paintings and he paints a wide selection of subjects. Traditional subjects include a river landscape and animals, like the adorable kitten below. But he also paints portraits of women which is certainly a more modern twist.
Here are a few favorite pieces.
Otherwise this weekend I am…
…going to try out the Fresh vitamin nectar face mask. I stopped by the Fresh store and met a nice associate who was telling me about their newest product. Most importantly, his skin looked smooth and glowing and he credited it to this mask. I’m all about bright skin so it’s worth a try! I’ve finally realized I need to do more to really brighten and moisturize my skin. Sigh, age is not my friend. I also have another facial scheduled for next week so it’s the week of facials!
What are you doing this weekend?
I love the last one the best!
Of course I love the painting with the cat – so elegant and chic!
Happy Weekend lovely!
