L’Arbre aux Hérons (The Heron’s Tree) modern Hanging Gardens of Babylon
It’s fascinating to see projects recreating some of the ancient wonders of the world. Les Machines de L’ile have been working on the Heron’s Tree since 2007. This tree will be set on an old granite quarry in Brittany and have twenty two branches holding branches and gardens. Basically, it will be a modern day Hanging Gardens of Babylon and have those cool herons. Now, visitors can go to the Machine Gallery to see prototypes of this work. Though the work won’t be completed until about 2022, it is cool that visitors can get a glimpse of it now. Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…taking the little lady to and fro. She has swimming, arts and craft, and her Chinese playgroup. Luckily we are able to squeeze in some time for us and will be seeing some of my grad school friends for a leisurely dinner. I completely see now how parents’ lives revolve around their kids activities and they essentially have no time for their own interests. I love my little ones, but love doing my own thing too. So yay for adult time!

It’s really cool how they’re recreating a a modern day version of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Those herons would probably freak me out since I have ornithophobia.
How old is your girl again? She’s involve with many activities which is brilliant! We signed up our boy for gymnastic again and hopefully he’ll love it better this time.

She’s 3 going on 4. Yeah, we mostly put her in a lot of activities because she has a LOT of energy and she luckily loves activities like swimming and Chinese playgroup. We will probably add dance and/or martial arts too!
