I’ve always had a soft spot for beautiful design. In recent years I’ve also discovered and been enchanted with paper art. Imagine great design – inspired by Islamic geometry or embroidery – carved into paper! Julia Ibbini laser cut art are gorgeous, intricate, hand painted creations. They reflect such a labor of love and reflection of beautiful cultural designs as well. I recall first seeing Islamic designs in Jaipur and didn’t capture nearly enough pictures then. I’ll definitely have to see more of these in the future.
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…on a staycation! We are heading to Sentosa and going to enjoy a few days away from city life. My husband has had a really busy few months and wanted to get away, without completely getting away! So we will enjoy some beach and pool time in a pretty quiet hotel. I’m sure we will take the kids out to some water parks and lay low. I would have wanted to truly go away, but this should be a lovely trip.
