Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Havana by Michael T. Meyers
Some places are so familiar, even if I haven’t visited yet. Growing up in New York, I knew Cuba in bits and pieces. I had heard of its delicate relationship with the US. I tasted its savory foods in Miami and New York. Of course, I also saw the pictures of Havana streets that seemed to be frozen several decades ago. Havana by Michael T. Meyers depicts Cuba through his eyes. The cars and streets are still colorful and bold. There is a gritty, yet romantic feeling in the air. I’d love to visit some day and see these sites for myself. Will it still look like it was frozen in time? I guess we’ll have to see!
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…doing the usual kid stuff which includes carting the little lady to her activities and also attending a birthday party. I’m also going to try to start prepping and cooking for the week more during the weekend. Hopefully that means I’ll have a little more time during the week! I’m also excited to be trying a new healthy, brownie recipe. Hopefully it works out!
What are you up to this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend!
Beautiful photos! I’d love to visit Cuba 🙂
I don’t think I’ve tried Cuban food before! Maybe I’ll look for it when I’m in Vancouver!

Oh these photos are beautiful! I’ve never been, but it always looks so stunning in photos. Maybe one day I will get to experience a little of it! 🙂
Hope you are having a lovely weekend! 🙂 We are having a quiet one to help us recover from being unwell this week. A birthday party sounds much more fun!

What beautiful pictures! The second one is rather arresting. I don’t know much about the country except that I love Cuban cusine a lot. Actually, the favorite one in Manhattan is called Havana Alma De Cuba. There is a gentleman who rolls cigars for the guests as well and I usually ask for one although I don’t smoke. ;)I
Cuba is so COLORFUL! The cars, buildings, food, dance.
