Happy Fun, free Friday lovelies!
Gaudi’s Casa Vicens
I remember first visiting one of Gaudi’s sites when I was a teenager. Like anyone else, I was struck by the patterns and bold colors. I became enchanted with Spanish artists and architects from that time. Gaudi’s Casa Vicens is his first site and a wonderful example of his unparalleled style. It seems like a crazy clash of colors and contrasting patterns, yet remains mesmerizing and lovely. Architecture photographer David Cardelús captures it beautifully. I really have to visit this again someday.
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…recovering again! If you’ve seen my Instagram, I have been lamenting my broken body, lol. I have sprained or pulled a muscle in my back and chest. It hurts so badly, especially when I cough, that I went to the doctor to make sure I didn’t injure a rib or something more serious. I can only really treat the cough now an am alternating between hot patches and bringing down the swelling. My husband has wanted to bring me to a Greek restaurant so that will be my break from hurting at home.
What are you up to this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend!
How visually stunning! Oh poor you! If you can take a bath, try soaking your body in epsom salt or magnesium flakes if you can find them. Add baking soda and hydrogen peroxide for extra detoxing. it will do wonders for your aches and pains. Just remember to drink a full glass of water before and after to replenish yourself.
Thank you for the tips Rowena! I am going to try more soaks and need to find epsom salt here! My body is breaking down everywhere lol
