Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!
Garment Sculptures by Susie MacMurray
I’ve always wished I could make clothing, but never did much out of it. But life got in the way and I still don’t know how to use a sewing machine. But imagine making a gown out of ordinary materials. Susie MacMurray, a British artist, did just that. “Much of my sculpture and drawing practice is concerned in one way or another with the perception and negotiation of female identity, both internal and external.” Imagine that needles, chain mail and gloves were used for these elaborate creations!

Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…going to try to catch up on the rest of “The Ozarks” and “Better call Saul”. We’ve now corralled our binge show watching to the weekend because otherwise we just have to watch everythingggg. Sometimes it’s just nice to decompress and chill out and not have too many plans right (besides the obligatory birthday parties of course)? Though of course I’m sure we’ll end up going to a museum or something with the little ones.
What are you up to this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend!
I do like weeeknds with no plans, though this one happens to be pretty busy for me – I’m going to the wedding reception of another blogger 🙂 tomorrow and then visiting my brother and his family on Sunday.
Those dresses are so cool, especially the furry one!!
Oh gosh, these are remarkable! I can’t sew either, my skills are limited to sewing back popped off buttons….
These are stunning pieces! I wish I was talented like this, I can’t even sew a button, haha!
Hope that you are having an awesome weekend so far and getting to watch all the shows you planned!
