What looks are typical of spring?
When I think of a spring look, I think of a lighter attitude and a lighter look. Dresses and jackets start getting brighter to signify the brighter days. A little skin may peek through with cutouts or sheer fabrics. Finally, designs may take form of beautiful, blooming flowers. These were certainly the looks that came down the runway for Chanel Spring Couture 2015. Some looks were truly over the top with large, hand formed flowers on light layers of tulle. While they were fun, they also wouldn’t be worn everyday (or around any young, spirited pair of hands, like my little lady!) I liked the freshness of that look as well as the cropped tweed blazers. Sheer, lacey fabric continued its strong presence on the runway and made an appearance in a few updated little black dresses. A few pieces certainly inspired more attainable looks while remaining fresh and ready for spring.
Here are a few of the looks and more affordable inspiration:
True Decadence Yellow Tweed Cropped Blazer, Dorothy Perkins, $49 (from $95)
Black Swan Nutmeg Black Lace Dress, Lulu’s, $75

The Dorothy Perkins tweed blazer is the perfect everyday choice. I didn’t realize I needed a yellow tweed blazer until this post, lol.
Cheryl, I’m glad to enable then! I already have a bright blue tweed blazer and need more colorful blazers!
A tweed jacket is definitely on my wish list 🙂
I love bright tweed. I bought a yellow one from Zara last year and it was such a good purchase. Looks way more luxe than it really is!
Love this yellow, that is so gorgeous!! I am so ready for spring, I miss the flowers and sunshine!! I need them :)))) Happy day doll xx
I’m so ready to fast forward through winter onto Spring. It’s so cold in NYC right now. Maybe I should put on some pastels and pretend it’s Spring :p
When I think of spring I think of bare legs and florals, lots of florals.

How fun is that blazer?! I’ve been coveting a tweed blazer {not necessarily in yellow} to pair with cutoff denim for a chic twist on casual.
xx
I can actually see you in a blue tweed blazer! It would be so fun to pair it with cutoff denim!
that yellow is so pretty!
