Can couture and eco-friendly designs go together?
Chanel’s Spring/Summer Couture 2016 collection did just that. They presented at the Grand Palais transforming it into an eco-friendly environment. A modern wooden house (which Chanel promises to recycle!) was placed on a well manicured lawn set beside a pond. Models paraded out in muted spring colors of beige and white. But beige wasn’t boring, especially when it was paired with full length capes, matching smartphone pouches (mini bags just for your phone), and beautiful crystal embellishments. So maybe it wasn’t all about celebrating the environment, but it was about celebrating the muted colors of the the season of renewal.
I put a few favorites down as well as alternatives you can get now for much friendlier prices (except the capes, love those capes!)
