When I think of the ’70s, I think of bright lights, disco balls, and psychedelic prints.
One of my mom’s coolest dresses from the era had the coolest black, orange and white swirling print – I’m so bummed she gave it away!
Andy Warhol and Diane Von Furstenberg (DVF) were definitely two of the major figures from that name that contributed to the mood. color, and prints of that time.
Now for the first time, they are combining a few of Warhol’s prints with some of DVF’s own prints to create new (yet retro) patterns on classic DVF wrap dresses and other pieces.
I love the simple line and print of the T72 dress in Twiggs, but would also adore the contrasting prints in the Amelia dress. Â Here are a few favorite picks:
Pop Wrap Limited Edition Abigail Silk Jersey Wrap dress in Dollar Twiggs Multi, DVF, $525
Pop Wrap Limited Edition Reina Two Silk Jersey Wrap Dress in Twiggs large black, DVF, $325
Pop Wrap Limited Edition Elena Silk Jersey Wideleg pants, DVF, $365
Pop Wrap Limited Edition Amelia Silk Jersey Wrap dress in Spotted cat lace floral/lilac yellow, DVF, $425
Pop Wrap Limited Edition Varhola Printed T-shirt In Chain link printed black, DVF, $98
Pop Wrap Limited Edition T72 Silk Jersey Wrap Dress in Twiggs large black, DVF, $425
Pop Wrap Limited Edition Julian Silk Jersey Wrap Dress, DVF, $365
Pop Wrap Limited Edition Brigid Printed T-shirt In DVF/Chain link, DVF, $98
Pop Wrap Limited Edition T72 Silk Jersey Wrap Dress in Floral splatter shadow pink, DVF, $425

If I had been alive in the 70s, I would have definitely been a disco queen. These dresses are killer! Have you been to the Warhol museum in Pittsburgh? It’s fabulous. 🙂
Thanks for your comment Sage. I haven’t been to the Warhol museum in Pittsburgh, but now definitely have to make that a stop! Seriously, I would have had so much fun with fashion from the 70s!
Seems like a perfect match! I think the black and white wrap dress is so pretty and classy!
There is something tremendously cool about the wide leg trousers…. these are definitely fun retro pieces!
