Though I haven’t watched “Mad Men”, I can still appreciate its retro chic style. Ahh the days when women rocked shift dresses and men always donned fedoras was a good time. “Mad Men” designer Janie Bryant has teamed up with Banana Republic for a limited collection featuring signature styles that could have been worn in the 1950s as well as today.
Leopard and lace are definitely recurrent themes and with prices ranging from $198 for the leopard trench to $150 for the lace tipped dress, they are pretty affordable as well. If you want to recreate a classic look, you can also save 30% off everything at Banana Republic (as well as Gap, Old Navy) through Aug. 24 with code thanks.
Here are a few favorite looks (for some reason I’m obsessed with finding a leopard print cardigan though I wish this were a bit looser).
Mad Men Collection lace shell, $49.50
I also have a weakness for hats!

I love this collection so much! I’m hoping to pick up a dress or two from it, since the fit and flare style tends to look the best on my body type. I really like the hats, too!

I LIKE IT FAST
I have never seen “Mad Men,” either, but I like stalking the styles.
I went into Banana Republic twice in the past week (I know — obsession), and these pieces look much better in pictures than they do in person. In person, I was not impressed at all. In pictures, they look pretty.

Love Mad Men and love the clothes from that era. I wish Banana had put a few more options in their collection. I really like the gray version of the cardigan too and there’s a berry colored silk shirt that is just divine. I will happily rock my pencil skirt, feminine shirts, and cat eye eyeliner this fall 🙂
