Celebrities, just like the rest of us, love saving money and dressing stylishly.
Just ask Helen Hunt who wore the most affordable gown on the Oscar’s red carpet and donned this H&M Conscious Collection dress (with $700,000 of jewels – talk about a high low collaboration!)
H&M dressing Oscar nominated celebrities? Â It was only a matter of time before this fashion retailer not only started making more upscale gowns, but now does it with an eco-conscious perspective. Â All pieces in the new H&M Conscious partywear collection are made from sustainable materials including tencel, recycled polyamide (hmm is that comfortable), and organic cotton.
I’m pleasantly surprised by some of the edgy looks in this collection. Â The exaggerated high low peplum top definitely makes a statement and the staple little black dress gets a pop of color from a white flourish on the side. Â The kimono look is a bit out of place but I guess that can be for a fun night in a tropical locale. Sustainability can definitely go with style and while the collection is predominantly filled with women’s pieces, there are a few men’s pieces as well filled with the interesting dusty floral print.
The fashions will be available online and in 140 H&M stores across the globe on April 4th.

There were a few other pieces I liked that didn’t have the published prices available yet; the black dress has such beautiful details. Â I’ll try to update again when I find prices in different currencies.
This collection is awesome! I’m loving that black lace dress, pink one, purse and headband!
I was impressed with Helen Hunt’s chic yet affordable H&M dress, as well as the idea behind it. It was actually my favorite Oscar gown of the night, because of its simplicity.
