“I believe that playfulness is a key element in our lives”
Ines de la Fressange
Anyone that can captivate Karl Lagerfeld has my attention too.
But more importantly, I’m entranced by anyone who embraces a simple, elegant and functional style. Ines de la Fressange started out as a fashion model, but has been a muse and style icon for decades; she is the epitome of French chic. She does it by embracing classic staple pieces – those that are versatile and can work with so many other items in your closet.
She is collaborating with Uniqlo now and launching a collection that will be available in select stores soon. The shirts and dresses range from $29.90 – $69.90 with the most expensive item in the collection being a coat at $129.90.
Here are the four moods in the collection:
Petite Parisienne highlights classic and functional pieces that can be worn at work or over the weekend.
Bleu, Blanc, Parisienne is full of red, white and blue separates that evoke the clean, modern styles of Parisiennes.
Souffle de Parisienne features soft, smooth fabrics and lines for laid back style.
Note Parisienne is classic, black, and refined.
Music to my ears because UNIQLO now ships to Ireland – yay!
I’ve noticed with french style, it isn’t just about the clothing items but how you wear them, French women wear their clothes so effortlessly, it is just beautiful!
The Beauty Break
Oh those dresses look great. I do not have any shirt dresses but definitely want to get one or two or three.

Very effortless.
French women pull of the classic minimalism so well. I envy their fashion sense she’s gorgeous.
Hope you’re having a good week so far.
I really like some of these pieces, they’re great, especially the linen jacket and the printed lawn dress I could see me wearing that all throughout the summer!
