I’ve always been a girly girl when it comes to color preference.
I would choose pink or red almost any day whether it is a pink watercolor picture, bright red lacquer table, or unapologetically red maxi dress.
But there is something about blue as well. It is an ultimate chameleon color – it can be bold, yet reserved, striking, and yet ordinary. I love all the possibilities of blue from a rich royal blue to a conservative navy blue,
Here are some of my favorite homes and outfits full of a beautiful blue, hue:
There are my favorite blue pieces in fashion and decor:
I do LOVE a good tray…
Juliska Country Estate Garden Party Hostess tray, Bloomingdale’s , $55
…as well as a perfect striped dress!
Tall blue striped dress, Dorothy Perkins, $29
I love that chair in the first picture! Do you know where you found it?
Hello dear, yikes, unfortunately, I didn’t bookmark the exact page on House to Home UK, but I got all the decor images from that site. The chair is gorgeous!
Stunning color!
Blue is so calming, I love that ornate printed wallpaper in the third picture and the Gucci blue is such a divine shade!
i am loving the blue as inspiration
Ah, I simply adore the shade of the first blue wall…So beautifully calming:) Have a great day, sweetie.
It’s so funny that you’re talking blue decor on your blog today. Blue is my favorite color so I’m all about that, but today on the blog I’m actually talking about adding orange to a room full of blue decor!
Love the photo of the blue dress and the tattoo peeking out!

Orange is definitely a new neutral color! It adds such a great pop!
The first picture is my favorite. So clean and full of positive vibes!

First off, I’m so pleased to see a blogger who discloses affiliate links correctly. And second, these shades of blue are gorgeous! I like how the model’s outfit shows off her tattoos.

Thanks Brittney! I only learned about proper affiliate placement from another blogger and I figured – better safe than sorry right? I feel like I’m in the 1% of bloggers that disclose this. I don’t see anyone else disclosing their links!
Anyway, I try to do fashion and decor posts occasionally and love how blue can be both classic and edgy!
I am glad to hear that! The only reason that I even pay attention is because I wrote a post on it earlier this month ( http://anotherbeautifulthing.blogspot.com/2013/08/ftc-requirements-for-fashion-blog.html ) that I wish more people would follow.
Brittney, your article inspired me to make changes! I remember Kim mentioned disclosing properly and I started making things more clear then. She also linked to your article which is VERY helpful!
the blue and white lover that I am, I would definitely love to live in that living room.
