Sometimes details just stick with me. I first saw Rebecca Taylor’s NYC office and posted about it here. I adored the feminine accents, soft colors, and bold prints. But I was really captivated by the Ellie Cashman floral wallpaper.
Ellie Cashman is an American designer that has called the Netherlands her home since 2007. She creates stunning large-scale floral prints that begin with a pencil etched sketch. She photographs her work and then imports it into Photoshop where she is able to further mold and manipulate the design. The results are truly striking – oversized florals in muted shades that create an instant statement in a room.
How lovely does this look in Finca restaurant?

I truly adore these designs. They are glamorous, yet slightly dark. They are moody, yet light. These flowers are truly gorgeous and larger than life. Ellie says that she takes her inspiration from painters of the Dutch Golden Age and paints ” flowers in all their states, with an emphasis on those that break through this threshold from dark to light, from seed to stalk to bud to full, extravagant bloom.”
I’m wondering how I can incorporate it into my home. Perhaps I will put it into my daughter’s room or save it for our place in NYC some day. In any case, I know I would love to have this be a part of my home some day.
This light and dark pairing by Jaimee Rose Designs is gorgeous!
Here it is set against beautiful blush in Le Mordant.
Art is showcased beautifully against it in Nikke Tibbles’ home.
But I would really love it in a bedroom or living room!

This is so dreamy!! my grandmother (she’s very stylish) would love this too.
Wow, I am in love! I prefer floral designs over stripes or checkers for example, but it is quite rare to find something modern and appealing like these. Thanks for sharing! <3
Those dark florals are really pretty. If you love it, you should definitely incorporate it in your home. Whatever makes you smile 😀
