“Youth has no age.”
-Pablo Picasso
Do you consider yourself young at heart or an old soul? I started thinking about the concept of youth when I saw this editorial of Elle Fanning by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue June 2017. Elle is celebrated for having great depth for an actress her age (she isn’t even 20 years old yet!) She has also gone on to become a spokesperson for L’OREAL Paris. It’s only the beginning of her career so it’s interesting to see where she goes from here.
But, I was thinking of the concept of youth and how it relates to me. I seem to measure time when looking at my daughter now. It’s so interesting to see how quickly time passes and how much can happen in a short span of time. While I definitely feel older (it’s hard being very pregnant and keeping up with an active toddler!), I also feel like my daughter keeps me young too. I am reminded to see the beauty in small things. I also find joy in simple acts like dancing around the living room. Pablo Picasso was right – youth has no age. We can certainly feel older, but we are only as old as we feel. I hope that you find vibrancy and youth too friends!
Have a lovely week!
I saw the cover and instantly became smitten. So glad you showed the inside. Absolutely gorgeous but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Annie Leibovitz. I am Both young at heart and an old soul. It’s really weird. I’ve always been that way. I have both a childlike and Adult quality about me. I enjoy both sides. HaHaHa

I’m like you Kim! I can feel like an old soul sometimes, but also have a childlike quality regarding some things!
Both sisters are stunning and unbelievably talented! And I also respect how down to earth and grouded the Fanning sisters are unlike other Hollywood young stars.
Pregnant and a toddler mom — I can only imagine. I feel much more like an old soul, though. Both Elle and Dakota just have these faces that I think always make them look young and ethereal. Wonderful editorial.
Annie can do no wrong in my books. Always loved her work!
Such dreamy photos!
