“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” — Maya Angelou
How have you managed to stay inspired? I saw this editorial of Doutzen Kroes for US Elle March 2020 (which was actually talking about design) and thought about my own inspiration. My own creativity has certainly waned in the last few months. This little corner of the internet gathered a bit of dust and I also had a host of weird bugs, which hopefully were wiped out with this newest theme! But I was simply uninspired to write, when I used to love posting a few times a week.
Stepping away and coming back has certainly been refreshing. This now 11 year old blog has certainly evolved from my wedding planning days (the DIY alencon lace veil is still a fave though!). I’m still fascinated by cool design, interesting photography, and beautiful fashions as evidenced by this editorial. Yet, I want to share more about what I’ve learned and hope would be useful too; I’ll start posting more interesting recipes and really great products again. I still wholeheartedly embrace certain luxurious items. However, I’ve been taking time to make more luxurious moments for myself. I’m at a better place with my fitness routine. I’m constantly culling my closet and home in my journey to keep what matters. So hopefully I can share a few other things that have helped me focus a bit too.
In this soft lockdown, I have also truly learned to appreciate brief moments outdoors. It really is about the little things like bright bougainvillea blooms and a beautiful example of heritage architecture (my IG is full of shophouse love). It hasn’t always been rainbows and quality time with my family. But I’ve adapted and learned to be a bit more creative in playing and teaching the kids too.
Creativity can come and go in spurts. But it won’t ever fully wane. Here’s to more creative moments, whenever they may come.
Have a lovely week!
I adore her and think she’s absolutely beautiful! I follow her channel on Youtube too!
I love that short balloon skirt!
Changes are good – I’ve noticed that all seasoned blog and bloggers behind them always seem to evolve. Looking forward to the next chapter of LLL. 🙂
You’re too sweet Lena. I’m still struggling for the right balance of content too!
These are so cute, love all the looks :))) I love evolving blogs, it’s so much fun to see them progress x
