Designer Thursday: Linea Pelle (and the first ever NYC sample sale today!)

June 17, 2010

I was never a belt kinda girl.  The standard belts were ho-hum and not that exciting.  But I’ve loved the fun and funky belts that have come out in the last few years (and also of course highlighted by Ms. Patricia Field‘s styling them over dresses.)  There is such a wide array of textures, colors, and styles for any season now.  I also love to wear belts with my slouchy tunics or fitted dresses – it is a great final touch to an outfit and so versatile.

Linea Pelle is no stranger to making great belts as well as other accessories and their leathers are great quality.  I love how naturally this belt flows with the dress.

This is one of my favorite belts from the current collection.  I’d wear it with classic white.

$225 here

Linea Pelle’s line doesn’t stop at belts though…I’m all about totes that can be worn as cross-body bags – functional and cute!

$415 here

Finally, I am really tempted to get this wallet.  It’s well priced and goes with everything!

$125 here

Linea Pelle has occasional online sales (I’ve received belts at a substantial discount – under $50!) making them even more accessible.

If you’re in the NYC area, be sure to check out Linea Pelle’s first sample sale.  Ooh I’m jealous if you go.  Please let us know what you find!

Do you have a favorite leather accessory from Linea Pelle?

I too was not a belt wearer, mostly cause I wasn’t sure if they looked good or not with what I was wearing. But I agree that in the last few years belts have become so much more fun! I love the one pictured, although I am not a huge fan of the price 🙂

I must admit: I am addicted to wearing belts at my natural waist. I have a thin waist, but wide features so I feel more comfortable getting to show it a bit… Embarassingly I probably wear one nearly every other day!! Probably overload!!!! haha
Love this post; you are right, belts didn’t start getting good until the last few years.

  • Michelle June 17, 2010 at 17:18

  • Elle Sees June 17, 2010 at 17:29

They do leather so well! I’m the opposite. I used to wear belts a lot and then I got lazy and stopped…lol. This makes me want to revisit that. I love the belt you chose. =D

P.S Wah?! The stud fell off? =( I’ve been lucky so far. *crosses fingers* Ooh, now I want to try me some Lanvin flats too. =)

  • Tanvi June 18, 2010 at 09:16

Hey!! :o) I think that’s a positive note that you take being called or assumed a Korean as a compliment! As long as it’s not said in distaste towards who you really are, right? :o)

Tried to fix the pictures on my last post… plz let me know if you can see them now!? 🙂

  • THE ALTERNATIVE WIFE June 18, 2010 at 13:58
