Country chic prints.
Muted colors.
Clean lines.
Those were the first thoughts that popped into my mind when I saw pictures of the Emilia Wickstead Spring/Summer 2012 collection. I hadn’t heard of Emilia previously, but was happy to discover her designs. She doesn’t use create any color blocking effects, produce vivacious prints, or design elaborate structured, shapes. But her collection does have mod lines that will remain classic pieces in your wardrobe. The subtle Paris prints are also sweet and unexpected.
Maybe I’m really captivated because this clothing epitomizes a Kate Middleton aesthetic – sweet, subtle, and ladylike (though slightly edgier with some of these lengths and cuts).
That and I love a fun print or a jacket with a great shape!
What do you think of this collection?

love the surprising pops of color from the shoes in this collection – i never would have suspected this but its fabulous
i heart clean lines! and those blue shoes with a muted dress is amazing.
I love how airy this collection is! The print of that last dress is gorgeous!
Loving the last look- is that a jacket? Gorgeous pattern!
Beautiful collection! The second-to-last dress is my favorite that you posted. And Kate Middleton’s style is perfection!
Is it wrong that I’m obsessed with the shoes?
I definitely love the clean and simple cuts!
I definitely dig the 2nd creak coloured jacket and this designer has some fantastic pieces. So sorry I missed yesterday’s post, going to check it out now 😀
I am loving these designs and am especially in love with number #2!! If only I could pull it off 🙂
xo
I had never heard of this collection, either, but the designs are really pretty. They do have a subtle Kate Middleton flair to them but (like you said) with more edge, which is probably why I like them so much.

This is a Kate Middleton collection! Very sweet, simple, and chic. 🙂
I am completely smitten with this! Especially the 2nd look. Just stunning! xo
yes, please. 🙂
i like two of the looks. possibly three. i don’t think these looks would look so hot on me, and i am always/usually mostly liking stuff that will work for me. lol. so selfish!
p.s. i like three of the looks. the last dress is totally growing on me! and i could make it work! i think. 🙂
I do love the soft color pallet and subdued prints – and the look with the shorts is so cute!
Chic on the Cheap
oh all these dresses are so carefree and pretty!
jos xx
These are actually very pretty and wearable . . .
I’m loving the prints and the surprise of the bright blue pump in that one outfit, but I find some of the others a bit too austere.
