What kind of home decor pieces do you like to own?
I have slowly been decorating our home (it is a never ending process, get back to me in a few years!) and my favorite pieces to collect are luxurious pieces mixed with everyday, functional pieces. I have a wide agate platter with a gold plated rim (great for serving food or using as a tray) that I like to place next to an IKEA vase that can store both flowers or pieces of seasonal decor (think dried flowers or holiday ornaments).
But let’s face it – home decor isn’t always affordable and we may want to expand our options beyond the big box mass retailers. Luckily, there are many options available from a variety of retailers. Horchow has been a recent favorite home store of mine. They feature many luxurious pieces straight out of a “Great Gatsby” type of set mixed with midcentury finds from Jonathan Adler. I’ve bought a few pieces from them before and am delighted that they now have a section called “Horchow Now“. This department features more affordable pieces of home decor in a variety of styles. This section is also included in Horchow’s occasional and generous sitewide sales.
Here are a few favorite pieces under $100 (psst there is free shipping on the Horchow site for the next two days!):
Park Hill Cheese Board, Horchow, $30
Pine Cone Hill Sugari check throw, Horchow, $88
Charade studded frames by Jonathan Adler, Horchow, $58-$69
16-piece Genevieve dinnerware service, Horchow, $84.90 (from $140)
Morph vase, Horchow, $45
These are just over $100 and totally worth the price:
Yellow pierced ceramic stool, Horchow, $150 (from $300)
Mirrored Circles Accent mirror, Horchow, $150

Such lovely picks, lady! We don’t have Horchow here in Ireland but I will look out for it when abroad!

The dinner set is really elegant and the vases are lovely as well Thank you for your kind compliments on the outfit post, we were thrilled to read it 🙂
I’ve always admired HORCHOW! They have exquisite items. Thanks for letting me know about their new edition. I didn’t know. I’ve stayed away because they are so pricey and at the moment I can’t afford that. HAHAHAHA
I can totally see you loving Horchow Kim! They really have such elegant items and luckily have a good sale every now and then (like 25-30% off the entire store!) I say keep stalking the items that you like and sign up for the 20% off new newsletter sign ups when you are ready to take the plunge!

I love home decor. not that i even have my own home, i have a stockpile of things for when I do. it’s ridiculous. since most of them probably wont even end up looking good together, but whatever. that mirror is so fun!
Lydia, I TOTALLY had a stockpile of dinnerware, homeware of stuff before I moved into a place. If it looks good and you like it, why not grab it?
