We’ve learned that reading is FUNdamental from our primary school days. Â But how do we display all our accumulated books? Â Admittedly, we don’t have many books here (I probably have 10 times as many books at my parent’s place) because we’re both e-book readers now, but I’d still like to display them proudly.
I think I’d like my shelves to be minimalist, but part of the decor (I love how this is a functional sculpture)…

…make use of the existing layout – love the great use of space with these shelves…

…or simply have them carefully placed in stacks around my living room (like small side tables).

What do you think? Â How do you place your books?
Love the ones under the stairs!

the second one is more my style … and the most practical!

I really love all of those! especially under the stairs and stacked around! I try that sometimes but I think it never looks as good as in these pics 🙂
That book case is heaven!
I love the first two options! The third is an interesting idea, but I feel less practical. I would probably knock over the stacks or spill something on them. Right now, we have bookcases on either side of our fireplace. However, I really like that olive branch idea, and it looks simple enough that I could probably enlist my dad or grandpa to make it for me! 🙂
I love the tree branch and the bookcase shelves – I’m not sure I could handle the third method, since I’m constantly telling my husband to pick up the “piles” he creates around the house 😉
I love the under-stairs bookshelf! I’ve been looking for a new bookshelf – this is great inspiration!
This is like porn to me lol. Love!
The fist one is just simply out of the box!! I will display them proudly too! 🙂

Love the staircase! What a great idea!
o0o0o great ideas~~
The first one is so amazing ♥
Love them all especially the staircase. SInce I don’t happen to have one of those I think I’ll resort to stacking them and using them as tabletops 🙂
I’m obsessed with bookshelves! I can’t get enough of them. I love the second picture’s shelves!
Omgosh I love the tree branch bookshelf that is so cool!!
FABULOUS!
i love books! and i love how beautiful they can look when displayed on shelves. i have an ikea bookshelf that just makes it all look so amazing! love it!
that first book shelf is amazing! SO unique and creative. xo
Love the staircase bookshelves!
Great idea to use books as a decorative item. The colours would make this a changing background
wow i want a stair bookshelf amazing.
i loooove books!!! they are the best decor item!
I love these bookshelves! I’m a big reader and I can’t wait to have a home big enough to have a wall full of bookshelves. 🙂
The tree shelf for sure! The stacking option doesn’t really work for me, b/c imagine what a pain it would be to pull a book out from the bottom!
Under the stair bookcase… very clever. Love.
Love the under the stair bookcase! The books really pop against the glossy white, too. Gorg!
Oh my gosh – I love all these book storing options!! The tree one is fantastic!
I love the first on and the second one – perfect 🙂
