What is a French state of mind? I imagine lazy days, lots of cheese, great wine, and of course great company.
Some of my greatest memories last year were of the small house I shared with 3 other classmates in the countryside. We had a small courtyard and a ridiculously large, floral, and totally awesome couch as well as a piano in the living room. Our house grilled when we can but as I’ve mentioned before baguettes and cheese were definitely a mainstay.
Our cleaning lady also told us Johnny Depp lived nearby. CRAZINESS right? I regret not doing a little more stalking when I had the chance.
Here it is (I told you it was very floral right, our land lady decorated and the couch is half the room!)
First this classic candelabra to be used for either long summer nights or those cozy winter ones.
Can you imagine putting your rings and knick knacks in these french love letter boxes? Sigh just adorable.
Ornate mirrors, they are so french and i would like one right now!
Then Comes Wife: A Manhattan Wife’s Journey Back To Tradition
I used to have an obsession with all things French. I dreamed of having a flat in Paris. But those days are long gone…now the closest I come to to Paris is my best friend who happens to be French.

Where did you live in France? I lived in Montpellier, in the south. I’ve spent a ton of time in Provence and in Languedoc, so for me, its the dry smell in the country–lavendar, herbs, the sound of cigales, olives…
The french love letter boxes are adorable!!
Sigh….baguette and cheese….French country side…so jealous.
That bench is gorgeous! I would throw some pretty pillows on it.
Cute blog!
