I’m still on the lookout for interesting design ideas since I’m planning my brother’ wedding (TBD date). I came across these two images and was smitten. I totally want to use them somehow but how?
Ruche’s floral wall with flowers made out of butcher paper
I like this because:
- you can make it ahead of time
- they can be used afterwards
- different sizes can be created
- different colors can be created
The garland or runner idea could be kinda interesting too.
Then there’s the real floral wall here
Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.
But I can only think of using these backgrounds for the ceremony or a photo booth. Would there be other uses for these floral backgrounds? I am just a sucker for anything pretty…oh and if I made all those paper flowers, they’d find their way into a wall in my home.
THAT’S SO AWESOME THAT YOU’RE PLANNING YOUR BROTHERS WEDDING – AAWWW, WHAT A GREAT SISTER
haha i booked marked this page right when design*sponge posted it too. perfect for our photobooth background – read my mind! love this and tried to make some but used crepe paper – not as good. will try again though!
good for you! pass on some decor ideas. 😉
love love the first pic.
I love that flower wall. I really want to do something similar!
Ohmigosh I want the floral wall – it is fabulous! Your brother is so lucky to have someone as amazing as you planning his wedding!! 🙂
this is pure perfection! i love it! totally would need to use at home after the wedding. i’ll try to think of other uses…:)
love love love both, the first one especially for a wedding, I think it’s a great idea, but the second one is also gorgeous!
You are a great sister for planning your brother’s wedding – come to think of it, maybe my brother will ask me to plan his one day . . . that would be cool!
I love that last wall! It’s so beautiful.
these are just so beautiful!!! i hope you find a way to use them!!!! LOVE THEM!!!
yes to the flower wall I say.
Depending on the venue you’re using can’t you create this wall anywhere? It doesn’t have to necessarily be used for photos or the ceremony. I guess it would work best in a blank canvas or white wall warehouse type of space. However as long as the venue isn’t too ‘fussy’ both in terms of you doing things to the walls and in terms of decor already I think it will be fab!
I want the floral wall in my room NOW! Love it love it!!!!
How clever! I would love a flower wall!
So pretty! I’m not sure what I’d use these for either, but they’re lovely.
Though, I wonder if there’s a way to create a flat panel for in front of the wedding party table – maybe foam core board that could be fashioned to fit around the table. Then you could create a “garden” for the wedding party to sit atop.
They would look fantastic as a photobooth background. Oh how I adore photobooths.
New follower here! I love this idea of the flower wall. I’m also planning a wedding and this is somthing I’m def. going to have to think about. SOOO ADORABLE!!
Its too much, these are very beautiful back grounds…thank you for the post..Pandora Jewelry Charms
You could have this behind cake table, or maybe even dessert/candy bar table?
I’m loving these!
You could use it as a curtain for entering the reception area, or as a wall of the reception hall, or as ribbons hanging from a tree. You could then scatter similar flowers around the tables or buffet area too – in a different color and/or size – too for tied-in reception decor. Love these!
Oh those are all gorgeous! I want to make some of those butcher paper flowers for my house. 🙂
flower walls are so great. i saw a blogger create on for her photo booth backdrop and it looked fab. i also love how it can be a great piece of art in your home 🙂
Either of these would make a gorgeous option! The paper flowers might wear better though if it’s going to be up all day.
I love the floral wall! Looks fantastic! Is there anywhere in the reception area you could use it for decoration only? I would’t use it for a photo background, as it would take the attention away from the people being photographed. That is unless the happy couple would want some crazy wedding photos! 😉
That flower wall would be really cool in a bathroom. At least that’s where I would put mine. It’s a bit too much for anywhere else.
