When was the last time that you lost? I saw this editorial of the one and only Beyoncé by Tyler Mitchell for US Vogue September 2018 and couldn’t imagine her losing at anything. She has been such a force in music, it’s hard to think of her in a position anywhere far from the top. But, she reminds us that she isn’t perfect at everything either. The most successful people can sometimes be the loneliest people, especially if they can’t trust anyone. Or they may try their hands at something different and find they’re not excelling.
I was up recently for a pretty cool role that would have been a bit of a career change. The group and company were innovative and I was going for something that would have been different, but interesting. I was able to meet some cool people through the process and learn more about how their technical savvy was propelling their products forward. Unfortunately I didn’t get the job and was bummed for a while. I kept on thinking about how I was so close, but yet so far. It also would have been cool to do something different. But, I learned to accept that I can’t have every new opportunity. Sometimes I will lose. I’ll keep looking and be sure not to lose next time though.

She looks amazing and you’re right it can be hard to think of celebrities are just as imperfect as us, as they have failures too! I’m sorry you didn’t get the job, but it’s great you got to meet some cool people and learn a little about the technology 🙂

I know what you’re saying. Beyoncé has impressed me in recent years though since she’s actually singing songs of more substance and highlighting social issues. Anyway, everyone also likes a good singer and dancer too 😉
