We may not all be able to own a classic Chanel jacket or purse any time soon, but we can still own a little piece of Chanel.
The Chanel counter at the airport is for some reason the most tempting counter and I always try to stop by and try on a few shades of lipstick or shop for new nail polish colors. Though the cosmetics are still pricier than any drugstore variety, they are available in a range of shades and their lipsticks and foundations are well formulated. I knew I wanted to test out Chanel lip color and I am glad I did (I’m wearing Gabrielle, no. 19).
The color payoff and pigmentation is great so the color lasts for a while. I now know though that my lips do not look good if they are dry or cracked before I put on Rogue Coco. I would still buy this lipstick again – luxury can be attainable and look pretty fierce!
Chanel Rouge Coco
Recommend
– Yes, with limited reservations! The colors are incredible and longer lasting than other brands I’ve tried but can make dry lips peel (but I feel like this may be true of a few lipsticks)
Pros
– Nice range of beautiful colors
Cons
– If your lips are at all chapped prior to applying lipstick, they will start peeling after applying lipstick
Price
– $34 (less after promotions or at the airport!) The one (Sari Dore) below is the cheapest one I found online!
Chanel Rouge Coco, Beauty Encounter, $32
The colour looks lovely on you :)) Beautiful. Have a sweet day doll xxx
That shade of red is lovely on you! I’ve only tried the Chanel Rouge Allure which I adore and had no dryness issues with. I’ll have to check out the color range of the Rouge Coco.

Rouge Allure sounds great too! I do like how Chanel lipsticks tend to be great at moisturizing lips. Check out Rouge Coco as well and thank you for your sweet comments!
If I knew I would have the courage to actually wear it, I would go out right now and buy myself that marvel!
With love,
Coco

i know what you mean i always feel like i go crazy at dutyfree lol!! 🙂
Yes, Duty Free is such a dangerous place for makeup shopping right?
I hate it when I put on a lip color and my lips start to peel. what could be more gross? Lately i’ve been looking into glosses with more staying power to help remedy this issue.
Lydia, this has definitely made me realize that prepping the lips is key prior to putting on a bold color. I find Rouge Coco moisturizing, perhaps almost too much so! I have started doing lip scrubs before putting on lipstick now and that definitely works!
