It’s hot outside so it’s time to break out the bright colors, cool drinks, and fun accessories.
My favorite accessories are either a great statement necklace, a bright scarf, or a great set of nails. I have all kinds of ideas for how to tie a scarf, but I wanted to show you an easy way to celebrate the season with a fun spring/summer manicure. The manicure is a fun and sunny version of my New Year’s Eve sparkling French manicure. I’m partial to pink and blue and used Sally Hansen Get Juiced and Chanel Coco Blue but can envision a whole rainbow of colors to make this work.
Here are the materials needed:
- base coat
- top coat
- 2 shades of nail polish (base coat and a contrasting shade for your tips)
Here are the steps I used to create this manicure:
1. I painted my nails in the base coat and then two coats of one color (with sufficient drying time between each layer of course!)
2. I drew a small thin line on the tips of my nails with the contrasting nail polish. Try to make 1 continuous line or at least drag the brush halfway across your nail. It is easier to draw a thin line and make it a little thicker if needed.
3. Allow sufficient drying time for the French tip and then put on top coat to set.
I love french mani’s this way – so colorful and fun for summer 🙂
