“Little things seem nothing, but they give peace, like those meadow flowers which individually seem odorless but all together perfume the air.”
Georges Bernanos
What are the last things that made you happy? This beautiful editorial starring Allana Arrington for Harper’s Bazaar UK October 2016 and quote made me think about this. A few things brought a smile to my face this past weekend. I finally got to watch the end of “Downton Abbey” and loved seeing happy endings for all of the characters. We even watched some of the early episodes and remembered how much we loved Sybill! I also got to meet a few friends for brunch and tea. It was wonderful to munch on some amazing roasted cauliflower and truffle fries. Finally, I got to catch a glimpse of a live kid’s show with the little one. The weekend was a compilation of little lovely moments. It completely helped me to identify with the quote above. Small beautiful things and moments come together to create something wonderful.
As a result, I’m facing the week with a more positive outlook. I’ve had a rough time lately. There aren’t any easy fixes going forward. But I am going to keep forging ahead. I’ll relish every beautiful flower, hearty laugh, and wonderful crunchy french fry. In addition, I will take a break when I need it. I’ll keep on working on making things better. I know that a few situations will eventually improve. In the meantime, bring on the gorgeous summer summer flowers and cheesecake please!
So stunning, I need all these dresses x
She;s killing it. one day i’m going to wear a really nice dress and take photos in a tree.
