Banana Republic (BR) was the “cool” store in high school. We graduated from GAP and the guys would wear those BR map or rhino lizard t-shirts and the girls would get cute sweaters.
BR was my go-to store for work apparel as well – it’s decently constructed, cute, and ALWAYS goes on sale!
I moved away from BR the last couple of years when I discovered NYC sample sales (hello Nanette Lepore!) Oh, Banana Republic will always hold a special place in my heart because a lot of my fiance’s undershirts come from there — they are soft like no other! I have no idea what they make those shirt out of, but it is heavenly. LOVE the sweater dress.
