“Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”
An innocent man is imprisoned for almost 20 years. His life is completely stripped from him and circumstances beyond his control. He could have easily succumbed to the darkness but did eventually take control and create the life he deserved. Life isn’t always as we intended it to be. This is easily one of my favorite movies ever because of the message of hope.
Stuff happens, some that we can control, some that we can’t control. It can be heartbreaking to be taught by your mother and your environment that you will receive good things because you work hard, you are a good person, etc. and things just don’t happen the way they could or should.
We may all have encountered difficulties, no matter how large or small. But as hard as it is, we must do what we can to get through it with the support of our friends and family and our own belief in the outcome.
I have recently discovered Summer. Her sweetness and caring really come through on her blog. She has had a particularly tough time. So I offer my thoughts, prayers, good vibes, and hope to her and all others who need it. It’s the end of the year, but we are also beginning a new one. So let us renew hope.
… because “no good thing ever dies”.
Portable love also helps too a la Coach (and who doesn’t love stylish portable love?)
