It’s a fact that kids have more fun than adults.  Sure we adults have fun once in a while.  But we can’t necessarily act playful in a professional environment or in social interactions and have it be as accepted as it was when we were wee little ones.  We especially need to adopt more serious mannerisms when we are in the office and being seen as whimsical wouldn’t be seen as a stellar commendation on your year end review (unless maybe you were in a creative field, now that would be cool!)

But life without a little whimsy wouldn’t be much fun at all.  How else would you relieve your stress?  How else would you get your creative juices flowing?  It is no coincidence that we feel whimsical among those we are closest to – we let down our stern faces and allow ourselves to laugh and be silly.  Shouldn’t our lives have some fun? These unique balloon dresses reminded me that fashion can also be a little whimsical.  It doesn’t always have to be edgy and cool, but can still be innovative and fun.  After all, what is life without whimsy?
