Why are French ladies considered perpetually chic?
One of their secret weapons is the prevalence of established Ā home-grown fashion houses, like that of Christian Dior. Ā Christian Dior created his namesake brand in 1946 and created a “new look” of women’s dressing that controversially included corsets, shoulder pads, boned bodices, and flared petticoats that emphasized women’s curves. Ā He created looks that were carefree, fun, and undeniably feminine. Ā This vibe certainly contributes to the aesthetic of the brand’s jewelry as well.
A popular piece of jewelry was the “Oui” ring that debuted a few years ago. Ā This delicate scripted word is finished off with a small diamond and was an instant hit. Ā While the Dior version is sold out, there are a few versions on Etsy that are equally as fun, though without the diamond.
Yes (oui), indeed!
So would you be savvy or splurge?
Oui ring, Laladesignstudio on Etsy, $48
Oui ring, Streetbauble on Etsy, $45
Oui ring, Christian Dior, $675 (not sold now)

I think the savvy affordable pieces looks just as nice, considering! I would save my splurge for something else, because I love shoes and bags a bit more, lol! š
Madison, I would do the same thing! I love splurging on shoes and bags!
great post and idea of looking for cheeper alrenatives! those oui ring looks cute.
if I wanted such ring I would go for etsy alternative and spent 675$ on shoes or bag
This is such an adorable ring, I can’t believe the similarity between the expensive and cheaper versions, you could never tell the difference!
Those pieces are gorgeous, I would take the savvy one and use the money saved to splurge on a pretty dress, hahaha!! Have a sweet day doll xx
Kizzy, you could definitely get quite a few pretty dresses with the savings! The savvy oui rings rock!
LOVE this ring! I almost bought the one from Streetbauble not too long ago! š
Ooh if you get it, we can be ring twins! I am definitely leaning towards the Streetbauble version!
that’s why i love reading your blog. i’ve seen that ring, but never knew its history or origins. i think it’s so cute! DIOR created a beautiful ring.
Aww, thanks sweetie! I definitely like to share savvy alternatives. The savings can go to a cool purse or a fun trip right?
Considering the original is sold out, I would go for the alternatives! I do like the “oui” ring, but not enough to justify the $675 price tag. The middle alternative is nice š
Savvy all the way….sigh. As much and I wish I could afford a caviar lifestyle
on that i would SAVE the $$$
I love the look of this ring. Thanks for the more affordable alternatives! Etsy rocks!
