Worthy Reads Roundup: GILT Free International Shipping, Gaga’s Workshop at Barney’s NY, and 10 Food Myths

November 13, 2011
Hope you had a great week lovelies!

Here is what happened at Chic ‘n Cheap Living this week:
– Photo love/Travel Log {Inspiration}: Sunset in Phuket
– In my Closet: Maison Martin Margiela Funky two-toned heels
– Trend/Fashion Highlight: Snake print
– Fashion and Interiors: Rich Red
– FFF – GILT Free International Shopping and 40%off Ann Taylor
Here are worthy reads from blogger buddies and beyond:
– This article about 10 Food Myths was really helpful – it is useful to know that pregnant women can eat sushi and eating turkey won’t make you sleepy.
– I first read about this from Punctuation Mark and loved the story – it tells of the first American (and foreign) ballet dancer, David Hallberg, dancing for the Bolshoi

– Barney’s NY has partnered and Lady Gaga for Gaga’s Workshop this season (specially selected items are placed in the shop transforming a floor at Barney’s and all holiday shopping bags).  25% of proceeds will also benefit the Born this Way Foundation.  What kinds of items do you think she will pick?

– Are cookbooks becoming obsolete?  Animated recipes, social networking, and video tutorials in recipes – is this the wave of the future?

Interesting links. Well, I think people will still go for cookbooks but more like collectables that can fill up their bookshelves in the kitchen. 🙂
